On Sunday 18th April, Magen David Adom UK (MDA UK) had the absolute pleasure of awarding stalwart supporter, Norman Rosenbaum, with the positions of Honorary Manager – International Department of Magen David Adom in Israel and Vice President of MDA UK.

The honours were given at Sopwell House, Hertfordshire, where Norman & Eve Rosenbaum and family dedicated their 14th crowdfunded ambulance from the community of Cockfosters & N Southgate Synagogue.

At £60,000 – £80,000 each, Norman’s 14th crowdfunded ambulance makes him & the Cockfosters and N. Southgate Community, MDA UK’s 3rd largest donors. These lifesaving vehicles have gone on to attend countless emergencies, providing medical care to all of those who need it, regardless of religion, race or nationality.

This UK dedication was the last sighting of the royal ‘Prince William’ ambulance before it makes its way back to Israel to commence its service of saving lives. The ambulance will be stationed in the northern city of Nazareth.

Speaking at the dedication, Magen David Adom UK Chief Executive, Daniel Burger, said, “We are forever indebted to Norman Rosenbaum for his outstanding commitment and dedication to fundraising for MDA UK. No one is more deserving of these honorary positions within the organisation, and nothing gives me greater pleasure than awarding these to Norman.”

On receiving these honours, Norman Rosenbaum said: “I am overwhelmed by these honours. I feel it is my privilege to be able to help those in need, and am forever inspired by the lifesaving work carried out by Magen David Adom.”
