May 2024: To celebrate and mark Yom Haatzmaut, the resident UK and retired Magen David Adom ambulance has been on a roadshow visiting local schools. This time, they stopped by Yavneh Primary, Yavneh Secondary and Clore Shalom schools.

These roadshows are always met with enthusiasm by the young students. It’s an opportunity for them to learn more about MDA in Israel, interact with and see the “inner workings” of an ambulance, and have some fun dressing up in the MDA uniform – all great teaching moments, and hopefully inspiring another generation of volunteers.

The Avi the Ambulance book is a great read for the younger kids and can be found at PJ Library. And incidentally, one of our supporters who joined us on the roadshow (and volunteered to drive the ambulance), is also named Avi…
