Each year legacies to Magen David Adom are directly responsible for saving the lives of thousands of people in Israel. How better to showcase the work these legacies enable, than to see it in person?

This was the privilege of the participants in the most recent MDA UK Legacy Mission, that took place in May of this year.

Legacy Mission 2023 group

The group witnessed the great work of Magen David Adom close-up, met inspirational volunteers and paramedics who work tirelessly for the cause and saw the most beautiful parts of Israel through an MDA lens. This included a guided tour of the Old City of Jerusalem and visiting the newly opened Marcus National Blood Services Centre in Ramle, where they listened to talks given by the blood processing team. The Legacy Mission also viewed MDA’s hi-tech National Dispatch Centre and took a tour of a working MDA ambulance station. This was also the first MDA UK mission to visit the new air ambulance.
