Phil Hancock is part of an Evangelical Christian group based in Wiltshire and in October 2018, he joined the MDA Trekkers group.
Determined to reciprocate the respect he showed the Jewish trekkers, a group of people travelled to Wiltshire on Saturday 26th January, to meet this family and prayer group.
The warmth, genuine hospitality and passion for Israel expressed by Phil and his community was overwhelming. Phil’s 18-year old granddaughter has now made a vow to trek with him in 2019.
Jews and Christians coming together in shared respect and friendship encapsulates the spirit of Magen David Adom.
Trekker Stacey Warren commented following the Wiltshire trip; “A very humbling experience to spend time with people who truly respect Israel and the Jewish people. If only more people could come together like this, the world would be a better place.”
