This Rosh Hashanah we need to teach Israeli doctors
to save even more lives.
Magen David Adom has launched a nationwide programme to embed fully trained and equipped emergency responders within remote communities.
When roads are blocked and communities are cut off, these teams will ensure that no one is left without essential medical care.
This initiative, known as Magen in the Community, will build a frontline medical infrastructure by training and equipping Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) across the country. Made up of local medical professionals, security personnel and volunteers, the CERTs will be prepared to act immediately in the event of conflict, terror attacks or natural disasters. These teams will collaborate with local authorities and communities.
With training in CPR, trauma care, mass casualty triage, and MDA’s advanced communication protocols, these volunteers will also participate in full-scale drills simulating real, high-pressure emergency scenarios.
Due to the current security situation, MDA is urgently mobilising to establish 400 Magen units immediately, at a total cost of £20million.
