Executive Director of UN Watch speaks at first Towards Machratayim event
MDA UK began its Towards Machratayim series with an evening with Hillel Neuer, the Executive Director of UN Watch.
Towards Machratayim is a five year campaign towards MDA’s centenary in 2030.
Machratayim – the Hebrew for the day after tomorrow – reflects the uncertainty and challenges on the road to hope, healing and a better tomorrow faced by Israel following the years of conflict. In particular, it focuses on the amazing humanitarian work of MDA volunteers across Israel as the country’s only national emergency response service.
In his speech, Hillel spoke generously of the amazing, genuine humanitarian work of MDA and contrasted it with bias, bigotry and self-interest of the global NGOs which UN Watch’s work so effectively exposes and condemns.
The donors and supporters of MDA UK and UN Watch who attended the event likewise learnt more of the vital, life-saving work that MDA carries out on a 24/7 basis to everyone in Israel.
