CONTRIBUTING TOGETHER – MAKING A BIG IMPACT
When becoming a Lifesaver, your contribution will be pooled with other lifesavers’ donations. By contributing as a group, each donation will go further and make an even bigger impact towards MDA’s life-saving work. Previously, Lifesavers have successfully raised funds for new medi-cycles, an ambulance, and more recently, a lab in the newly built Marcus National Blood Services Centre, in Ramla – the world’s most secure national blood bank. Furthermore, Young MDA Patrons’ have the opportunity to see their donations when in Israel.
In recognition of your commitment, when you first join the Young Patronage Scheme, you start with a personal donation project before contributing to the group fund.

If you’re a higher-rate taxpayer, individuals can reclaim the difference (up to an additional 25%) between the higher and basic rate tax on the value of your donation. For a 40% rate taxpayer, who is claiming Gift Aid – for every £1 you donate, you can claim back 25p in tax relief.
