The Memorial Mission will run from the 6th-9th October. One year on, what could be more impactful than being in Israel over the 1st anniversary of 7th October.

After a highly moving first mission in March, join MDA UK once again to bear witness to the horrors of that day, whilst coming together to celebrate the resilience of the Israeli spirit. This is an experience not to be missed.

At this stage the itinerary is still being finalised, especially in terms of how we will be marking the poignant anniversary – but please find the provisional itinerary here.

The ground cost for the mission is £2,200 per person for a double room, with a single supplement of £200. This cost is excluding flights, but includes all tours, meals, ground transport and three nights accommodation at the Debrah Brown in Tel Aviv.

The group flights for this trip are an additional £600 per person, flying EL AL. The outbound flight on 6th Oct is 08:00 LHR (T4) to TLV landing at 14:55, and the inbound flight on 9th Oct is 17:00 TLV to LHR (T4) landing at 20:20.

If you would like to join us on this trip, please fill in the form below.

However, if you have any questions, would like to register your interest or would like to pay another way, email Michelle on [email protected] or call 020 8201 5900.

FAQs

If MDA UK has to cancel the mission, then a full refund will be issued and there will be no cost incurred by you (the traveller).

If you (the traveller) has to cancel the trip, then no refund will be supplied and you will need to go through your travel insurance to recoup the costs payable. You must have valid travel insurance prior to travelling and ideally from time of booking.

You must have your own valid travel insurance prior to travelling and ideally from time of booking. This needs to be valid in amber-zone areas as per FCDO guidance. Although MDA UK does not provide this, you can be in touch with Michelle for further guidance.

However MDA UK will provide top-up insurance for when we are in red-zone areas as deemed by the FCDO guidance.

The launch of this new e-VISA  system has been delayed until 2025, meaning that you do not need to apply for one before the Mission in October 2024.

As of January 2025 all travellers from previously visa-exempt countries (including the UK) must now have an ETA-IL permit for entry into Israel.

The permits will cost 25 Shekels, and you must apply via www.israel-entry.piba.gov.il

You will be asked to provide:

  • your personal details
  • your email address
  • your travel information
  • your passport details
  • upload a photo

The ETA-IL permit for entry is valid for two years.

Most applicants will get a response immediately. In certain cases, it may take up to 72 hours. If you don’t see a response, check your inbox, including your spam/junk folder.

Nearer the time we will arrange a zoom briefing for all participants. We will go over the updated itinerary, packing list and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

We will also add you to our Memorial Mission whatsapp group, where you can ask questions and chat with fellow participants.

In the meantime, if you have a query don’t hesitate to email Michelle on [email protected] or call the office on 020 8201 5900.

For those on the group flight, we will meet in the airport terminal as a group. We advise that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight as El Al has extra security checks.

If we have several participants travelling on other flights we will also connect you with each other.

If you are arriving in Israel before the group, we will advise where you should meet us on day 1.

The group flight is El Al, cabin ‘Economy Classic’.

The baggage allowance is 1 x 23kg checked suitcase per person.

You can also take 1 x 8kg hand luggage per person as long as it fits in the dimensions – height 56cm, width 45cm and depth 25cm.

For more information visit the El Al website online here, for checked luggage and hand luggage.

The mission will immerse you in the traumatic events of 7th October. Should you have any medical conditions that may be affected by these events and your experience on the mission, please let us know (in confidence) and take any necessary medical advice before travelling. We will have trained paramedics accompanying us on the trips but your prior notification of any pre-existing conditions would be appreciated.
