Magen David Adom UK volunteer, Howard Taylor, has won the prestigious Smee & Ford Legacy Giving Awards 2025, Legacy Volunteer of the Year.
Howard, who has volunteered for MDA UK for 13 years, was instrumental in the restitution of Nazi looted art to the estate of Harry Fuld Jnr of which Magen David Adom UK was the ultimate beneficiary. The award was made all the more poignant by the fact it was received on Yom Hashoah.
Howard’s exceptional dedication and leadership for the MDA UK legacies programme has secured nearly £20 million in legacy income since 2012.
Ashley Rowthorn, Executive Director, Smee & Ford, commented, “We are delighted to recognise the incredible dedication of Howard Taylor from Magen David Adom with the Legacy Volunteer of the Year award. Howard’s passion and commitment to supporting legacy giving is truly inspiring and reflects the profound impact that volunteers can have in securing the future of vital causes. Congratulations to Howard and Magen David Adom on this well-deserved recognition.”
Daniel Burger, Magen David Adom UK CEO commented, “MDA UK is delighted that our very own Howard Taylor has been named Legacy Volunteer of the Year. This award recognises his tireless work on the restitution of the Nazi-looted art and artefacts on behalf of the Harry Fuld Jnr estate and ultimately the people of Israel.”
Howard continues to play a vital role in MDA UK’s Legacy campaign, encouraging supporters to leave a meaningful gift in their Will to help save lives in Israel for generations to come.
