Peston Banks £100k for MDA
The Manchester Committee held its annual dinner in June with the BBC’s Business Editor, Robert Peston, entertaining a crowd of over 200 at the Radisson BLU Hotel, Manchester Airport. Guests were also treated to insights from Chaim Rafalowski, MDA Israel’s Director of Emergency Operations. Fresh from leading the ongoing operations in Haiti, Rafalowski explained how the organisation is involved in life-saving work wherever its expertise is required. The £100,000 raised on the night will go towards the Manchester Committee’s refurbishment and reconstruction of the MDA Station at Hadera. Regional Director Richard Simon commented, “Yet again the Manchester community has shown incredible support for the people of Israel and the work of Magen David Adom.”
