Mother’s marathon for MDA motorbike
Next month, Suzanne Yantin from Borehamwood, will be running the Tel Aviv half marathon in memory of her Elaine Jacob who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age 63 last year. She will be joined by 15 friends and family including her 13 year old nephew and father, aged 72.
Speaking to the Borehmwood Times last week, the 36-year-old mother of four said: “Mum did a lot of charity work and we wanted to do something to keep us active and fit, but also it gives us a chance to keep her memory alive. We also wanted to dedicate something to her, and by raising this money we will be able to give something back which can be used for good. She did lots of things for charity and was always helped others and was always on the go doing something.”
The group is hoping to raise £12,000 in order to buy a first-responders motorbike for MDA in Israel.
