MDA Accomplish Rescue Mission in Bulgaria
All Wounded Home and in Relevant Medical Centers
At 14:00 hours an IDF airplane landed at Ben Gurion airport with 34 wounded aboard; the victims of the terror attack in Burgas, Bulgaria. Earlier, the wounded had received medical check ups from MDA teams of paramedics in Burgas medical center.
30 fully manned standard ambulances under the command of MDA Director General Eli Bin, welcomed them at Ben Gurion airport.
The 34 wounded were transferred to the ambulances that immediately evacuated them to the medical centers close to their residences following a plan previously designed together with the Ministry of Health.
The wounded, suffering from orthopedic and shrapnel injuries, were evacuated to the following hospitals: Naharya, Soroka – Beer Sheva, Ichilov – Tel Aviv, HaEmek – Afula, Wolfson – Bat Yam, Leniado – Netanya, Rambam – Haifa, Asaf Harofe – Rishon Le Zion, Kaplan – Rehovot and Barzilay – Ashkelon.
Later this evening, the 3 severely injured who were flown yesterday to an hospital in Sofia, Bulgaria, will be welcomed at Ben Gurion airport and evacuated by MDA Mobile Intensive Care Units to hospitals in the Tel Aviv area.
Afterwards, the 5 fatalities of the terror attack will land in Israel. MDA has prepared 5 ambulances which will drive the bodies from Ben Gurion airport to the Legal Institute of Pathology in Abu Kabir, Tel Aviv.
Tomorrow morning, MDA teams will medically secure the five funerals.
