Bingo! Hendon Magen David Adom reach target

A Chinese Bingo evening held by Hendon Magen David Adom on Sunday 13th November enabled the committee to reach their £27,000 target to purchase a TOM car for Magen David Adom in Israel. The 150 guests were thrilled to be a part of raising funds to purchase the vehicle. This smaller, tougher ambulance is adapted from a well-tested all-terrain vehicle ensuring that lifesaving treatment is not hindered by being unable to climb Israel’s rugged hills or to navigate the sandy beaches without getting stuck. With cash prizes for every full house and food from local Chinese restaurant Kaifeng, the event proved a big success. This event was one of many that the Hendon MDA committee have put on this year in celebration of their 7 years of dedicated service to Magen David Adom UK.

Melvyn Rosehill, Chair of Hendon MDA, said “We are overjoyed that we have reached our target and are able to purchase this lifesaving vehicle for Magen David Adom. With room for two medics and a sick patient, this TOM car truly is vital to their ability to save more lives in Israel.”
